Hurricane Rita Slowed Me Down

Well, it took a while to get going again due to hurricane Rita. I wound up having to shuffle the garage around enough to push the car in because the frame isn't bolted on anymore and I didn't want it to blow away.
It was a pretty tight fit, but it finally made it in.
After the storm was over, the power was out for several days and I never did get a chance to post. So here is everything that happened in the meantime...

I got to work on the light harnesses and the space under the dash. There were a lot of mods under there that I had to figure out. The radio was hooked in funny and it took me a while to trace all of the wires around. Here are some pics:

The headlight relay was first

And eventually all of the wires up under

And then the gas cap. That one was hard because the cable to the release was buggered. But eventually it was added to the stack of parts in the garage that keeps growing and haunting my dreams.

And then the headlight and turn signal wire harnesses is all that's left except for disconnecting the steering wheel from the front end.

The only wires left now are hanging from the steering wheel and the ones connected to the engine. The rest are all in a heap with the rest of the parts I have collected.

Here are some loose wires

And here is part of that heap I was talking about

I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to get it all back together.
That should be it for the front end for now.
Now off to the rear end.

The cable to the engine compartment is cut

I crawled under and unhooked the starter and the solenoid.
I also pulled some of the fireproofing from the engine compartment.
I'm thinking it's about ready to pull.
But then my wife reminded me of the seatbelts. Oh yeah...duh.
Oh well, too dark today.
